Letter to Perspective Students
Introduction and expectations of programs and homestay for international students coming to Calgary as clients of Calgary Student Homestay.

Dear Perspective Home Stay Student:

My name is Deborah Carter and I am the Homestay Host Mother for Calgary Student Home Stay. What an extraordinary age that we live in. English is spoken by more people than any other language. Calgary Student HomeStay provides two primary services to our international students which are homestay and ESL.

We live in a global society and communication is the most important link. The Carter family speaks and converses fluently in English allowing for an enriching language experience for the international student(s). Because you have a strong desire to learn English, you must be applauded for your efforts.

Our Canadian family is able to provide a clean, private room with a comfortable bed, good lighting, dresser, desk and closet with easy access to a private or semi-private bathroom. As your Home Stay family, we have the ability to offer a warm and positive living environment with two or three meals per day. Students find it very enjoyable to be involved in Canadian family life.

Once you have made the commitment to come to Calgary, Calgary Student Home Stay tries to ensure compatability between you and the homestay family. We shall provide you with an informational brochure which outlines respect and other living procedures within the Canadian culture.
